The story of a successful collaboration.
The collaboration between Nike and Supreme is an example of a partnership between two very influential brands of the moment. The honour fell to the sportswear giant, Nike, to make the introductions. The brand was founded in 1971 by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight in the United States. These two men wanted to bring their clients a range of styles of quality sports shoes but at affordable prices. Collections of clothing and accessories for men and women would come out just afterwards. Supreme's story is more recent because it started in 1994. Initially specialising in the world of skateboarding, the brand would go on to successfully expand its field of activity thanks to a deft communication strategy and prestigious collaborations with brands like Champion, Timberland and Nike. Nike has been collaborating with Supreme ever since the beginning of the noughties. Each new design which came out exemplified creativity and managed to catch the eye of ever-increasing numbers of customers.
Emblematic designs reworked in a modern, original manner.
Styles of men's shoes by Nike have a powerful identity, with the famous swoosh logo prominently displayed on the sides. Certain styles have even gained emblematic status, including the Air Max 98 and Air Force One. In all cases, as much efforts went into the aesthetics as the comfort of the soles and the ensuing comfort levels. At the heart of the collaboration with Supreme, the most legendary designs were revisited with new prints and colours. This collection embodies resolutely modern aesthetics.
